A little corner of the foothills, waiting for you
Tucked beneath old oaks and open sky, Blissful Acres is a place to slow down and breathe again.
Mornings begin with birdsong and deer wandering through the meadow. Afternoons drift by in the garden with the bees. Evenings end with the sky turning pink over the pines. Nothing here is in a hurry, and you don't have to be either.
In 2014, our multi-generational family came together to buy a little piece of land in the Sierra foothills. Since then we have poured our love, sweat and a few happy tears into it, and every garden, gathering space and quiet corner now carries a piece of our story.
However long you stay, we hope you leave feeling a little more restored, more connected and inspired to bloom.

Rest here a while

Warm up in the sauna, wake up in the cold plunge, then sit in the stillness and let your whole body exhale.
Feel new again

Wander through the gardens and wildflowers, and listen to the gentle hum of our honeybees at work.
Grow something goodWe share these acres with wild neighbors
Blissful Acres is a Certified Wildlife Habitat. We see ourselves not simply as owners of this land, but as its stewards. We care for the soil, protect native habitat and plant with the pollinators in mind, so this place stays beautiful for generations to come.
Deer bed down in the tall grass and bring their spotted fawns through the yard. Wild turkeys stroll past the porch. Hawks circle high above the oaks, and our honeybees work the flowers from spring until the first frost.
Walk softly, look closely, and you will see them too.

Sunflowers, busy bees and long golden evenings outside.

Autumn
Cool mornings, warm sauna sessions and pink skies at dusk.

Winter
A fire in the stove and, some years, a soft blanket of snow.
"A piece of heaven"
This quaint cottage in Grass Valley is so cute and peaceful! My partner and I only stayed one night but we felt right at home. The property is gorgeous and private. We loved sitting outside and listening to the birds in the morning too.
